After The Storm | Portland Head Light
After a week of beautiful, hot, sun-filled days, Earl rolled through Maine on Friday night. Luckily he rolled through during the night, and like the DJ on the local radio station said, Earl hit like his grandmother. If you have to be in the path of a tropical storm while on vacation, you couldn't have asked for a better scenario than the one that was laid out for me.
I spent a few hours at PHL on Friday evening enjoying the fog banks that came and went, and Saturday morning I went back to see what effect Earl had on the tide. Since the storm pretty much skirted the area the waves weren't that impressive, but it was still enjoyable to stand there and photograph the waves that were present crashing on the rocks.
Now that I'm home I'm going to start sorting through photographs and posting them as I go. They really won't be in any order, and there might be similarities in some of them, but they'll be posted as they strike me.

Wonderful Image! great shot.
I could probably spend a lifetime taking photos there at that spot!
Thank you, Carl. I do love shooting here. It can be crowded, and the light can be harsh and ever changing, but when it's right, it's worth it.
