Feeling uninspired...

... so I broke out some textures this week. I haven't been using them as much lately and since I was looking for a little bit more than just the boring 365s I've been taking lately, I thought I would do a bit more with them. So, in this post you get a couple 365s along with the textures.

365 | The condensed version

I'm a little behind! I really think this is the least creative thing I've done to date, so I'll just be picking and choosing which ones go up here from now on... and that might mean it might be pretty quiet around here!

For the Greeblemonkey: October 2010 Greeblepix Contest

Thank you to my friend Carl for reminding me to get off my butt this month and enter the October 2010 Greeblepix contest.

I chose this photo for this month because I just really love the attitude that this little beauty has. A happy handful, indeed!

Bailey Island, Maine | Part II

Bailey Island landmarks... Bailey Island Bridge; Mackerel Cove, one of the most photographed places in Maine; Lands End, a famous rocky beach at the end of the island; and "The Nubble," an often-photographed bait shack where all of the local lobstermen leave their buoys.

Flashback Spring | NYBG Orchid Show

It seems like I am sadly behind everything in my life right now. I went to the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden in the beginning of April. I'm just getting into serious editing of the photos... and only because I know that I have just about a month to get them finished. I figured I might as well share them as I struggled through them...

Taking the long way home

Took the opportunity to enjoy a rain-free day yesterday while I was driving home. I drove more than I used the camera, but I did make a couple stops along the way.

Yet another catch up... what else is new?

I've managed to run myself into the ground this past week, so the 365s are pretty lame. I won't bore everyone with all of them, but here are a couple new ones since the last update...

Infrared | Bear Mountain Bridge

I spent some time in my home state of New Jersey on Saturday. I know what you're thinking... just WHY would I do such a thing? I guess it's just something that happens every once in a while. I spent some time at the New Jersey Botanical Garden in Ringwood, and when I was done there I raced the light to the Bear Mountain Bridge to get a few clicks off before I started the trip home.

It was a beautiful day. Sadly, there were no white puffy clouds in the sky, but hey, sometimes you just have to take what is given to you when you're out shooting. I took the sadly cloudless sky and sucked it up for a couple infrareds here at the bridge since I doubted I'd get down this way again before the leaves were off the trees.
