After The Storm | Portland Head Light

After a week of beautiful, hot, sun-filled days, Earl rolled through Maine on Friday night. Luckily he rolled through during the night, and like the DJ on the local radio station said, Earl hit like his grandmother. If you have to be in the path of a tropical storm while on vacation, you couldn't have asked for a better scenario than the one that was laid out for me.

I spent a few hours at PHL on Friday evening enjoying the fog banks that came and went, and Saturday morning I went back to see what effect Earl had on the tide. Since the storm pretty much skirted the area the waves weren't that impressive, but it was still enjoyable to stand there and photograph the waves that were present crashing on the rocks.

Now that I'm home I'm going to start sorting through photographs and posting them as I go. They really won't be in any order, and there might be similarities in some of them, but they'll be posted as they strike me.

Another week draws to an end...

... and sadly the week that is coming to an end is the week that I've been away! I'm still in Maine, but leaving for home tomorrow morning. I'm all packed (except for my computer!) and ready to go, and I had some time on my hands, so I thought I'd get those 365s that I'm so badly behind on posted! This week also marks the half way point in this 365 project! It's kind of odd... I can't believe I'm half way through... and I also can't believe I'm only half way through! So, here we go!

Distracted in the state of Maine...

I've been out of town this week, spending a few days in the beautiful state of Maine. I had plans of posting my 365 round-up while I was away, but I hit a snag with that and had to make an emergency/impulse computer purchase. I have no editing software available now... so, there is no 365 post until I get home. I thought I would drop off a little randomness instead. They didn't make the 365 cut for whatever reason, but I still kinda like them :)
