Waterfalling | Havana Glen Park | Eagle Cliff Falls
A few weeks ago I spent some time in Ithaca and Watkins Glen, New York. Although tired and mentally done for the day I managed to sneak in one more stop before hitting the road home. I hadn't been at Havana Glen before, so that day seemed like the perfect time to stop. My walk up to the falls was in solitude, and I kept thinking how wonderful it was that there was no one around! I got to the base of the falls, set up my tripod, fired off a couple sets of photos, and soon I was no longer alone. A couple of individuals had joined me, but sat on the rocks out of my photos. I cut across the creek and once again, I was alone. For a few minutes. It's funny how people can come out of no where at a place like this, on a beautiful day, where you can just frolic at the base of the falls. I finished getting the photos that I wanted, and I packed up my gear and left. I'll return to this spot. A short walk to what will hopefully be a quiet and solitary spot to shoot...

Nice falls! The quiet times in the woods are best.
