AutoMojo | Part I

If you know how I shoot, you know I never take a photo of the whole car. I'll leave that to all the people wandering around with their cell phone cameras taking snapshots as they go... 

I went out testing the waters on the mojo I have left for automotive photos... It used to be one of my favorite things to shoot. This weekend was a bit of a struggle, although the weather was right for it. A nice overcast, yet rainy, day. I wasn't happy with as many shots as I had hoped, but I guess just getting one or two takes that sting away. 

I don't know what's next... I can't quite wrap my mind around this picture taking thing right now. Maybe what's next is actually putting the camera aside, instead of having it sit in front of me, and me thinking that it's something that I'm going to reach for every day.... time will tell, I guess. Until I get it figured out, happy snapping my friends...

Life in the backyard | Uninspired

Preoccupied. Lacking motivation. Lazy. Uninspired. 

Those are just some of the excuses that pop into my head when I think about how little I've touched the camera lately. I have begun to put some thought into what I want to shoot in the upcoming weeks. Now I just need to put those thoughts into action. It seems like it has been extra hard this year to come out of those winter blues. It always feels like there's someplace I'd rather be...

A Toad's Life | Down by the RIver

So, while down by the river watching the canoe regatta, I came across a VERY friendly group of toads... from what I gather it is toad mating season, and they were putting on a show for all their prospective "dates" I guess. They sure weren't timid, and they didn't mind the human presence moving in on them to take their photo... which worked for me.
