Mindless Rambling...

What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened,
it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment.
And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new.

Waterfalling | RIcketts Glen State Park

On my way to Philadelphia last week I took the opportunity to stop at Ricketts Glen State Park and walk part of the Glen shooting the waterfalls. I didn't have nearly enough time to do the whole trail... and it's probably a good thing since I came out of there exhausted. Beautiful spot. Peaceful and quiet. I only saw 4 other people the whole time I was there. A nice way to spend some time with one's self. I plan on returning soon to finish the hike and see the remainder of the falls that I missed this trip. Maybe the next time I'll go back with company!

365 Catch Up | The final 100 days!

There are less than one hundred days left to this 365 project. Good lord. The end can NOT come quick enough. There are some bad things to be said about being a stubborn person who won't give up on something...

When you laughed you had my urge to laugh with you.
When you cried you had my urge to hold you.

Eastern State Penitentiary | Black & White

A few more from the not-so-wonderful collection from Eastern State Penitentiary... I do love the details that you find at this old penitentiary, although it seems like I had a really hard time actually getting a good shot of any of them this time... more to come.

365 Review

I'll be heading out for the holiday, so I thought I better get some of the latest 365s posted... I'm still behind in processing them, but at least I'm a little closer to caught up now! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Locked up tight | Eastern State Penitentiary

I was privileged to spend the day on Saturday roaming the cells at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia with some excellent company. Thank you to my friend Jerry for roaming with me. The day didn't result in great images coming from my camera, but the fun that was had was well worth the trade off... And I look forward to some other adventures...

The photos are full of noise, and lacking focus... but, I'm putting them out here anyway... forgive the weaknesses and enjoy the sights... More to come....

Waterfalling | Watkins Glen, NY

More photos from my recent trip to Watkins Glen in October. I may take the opportunity to do a little different editing on some of these photos one day when I'm snowed in during the winter... although living where I do, being snowed in is a rare thing, we're quite used to snow.... sometimes it's the best time to go out!

An afternoon at the conservatory

I do love to spend some time at the butterfly conservatory. Alone. No one yacking at me. It's good for the soul to have the butterflies fluttering around you. If you're quiet and still enough they will land on you and sit for a while, which is always a cool thing. Until they decide that the tip of your finger is a good spot to sit, just because you pointed at them...
